TD305B, developed and produced by TICO, is a new type of heat-resistant stainless steel. Its high-temperature mechanical properties are [TJC STEEL]comparable to 310S and the cost is lower, so it can be used as a substitute material for 310S.
Alloy Principle Traditional heat resistant stainless steel is mainly the use of stainless steel chromium, nickel and other elements in the reaction with oxygen at high temperature, generated spinel structure (FeCr2O4, NiCr2O4) and other protective [TJC STEEL]oxide film, and achieve the purpose of high temperature oxidation resistance.The high temperature resistance of stainless steel can be improved by increasing the content of chromium and nickel. TD305B is a type of section nickel steel, steel added with higher content of silicon, silicon can significantly improve the oxidation resistance of chromium steel, so although the content of nickel and chromium is lower, but still has the same as 310S and higher high temperature mechanical properties.
